A singe is usually a slight scorching, burn off or treatment method with flame. This may be because of a collision, for example scorching a single's hair when lighting a fuel hearth, or a deliberate technique of therapy or removing of hair or other fibres.
The method is normally to go one or either side of a material over a fuel flame to burn up from the protruding fibres. Other approaches contain infra-pink or warmth for thermoplastic fibers.
